Darijus of Regvand

The first thoughts of Darijus were of a sandy blond young man with ocean blue eyes that loved water. In his original role, he was supposed to be a minor Duke of another planet, but I thought I’d make his life a little more complicated. One thing that remained was his instinct to protect those he loves, even when they don’t need protecting.

Darijus’ Early Life:

Darijus is the first-born child of King Tahvo and Queen Reya. From a very young age, Darijus took to the water like a seal. Any chance he could, he would jump into the lagoon outside his palace home. He was often seen with his best friend Ronan exploring the vast oceans of their planet.

It was on Regvand that he met his other best friend Xendara. During school breaks, they would alternate which planet they would stay on while visiting one another. Darijus and Xendara were said to be mischievous, often using their growing powers to swipe sugary confections from the kitchens. Much to his sister’s dismay, he always prioritized his time with Xendara. When they were in each other’s company, they were rarely apart. Darijus was always known to be very protective of her. He even pushed away a healer to take care of her wounds himself, despite not having the ability to heal.

It was after meeting Princess Xendara that Darijus took an interest in dendrology. His interest in trees grew with time. During his visits to Xardenora, he’d implore the young princess to help him cultivate trees he’d found on her planet to the beach area next to the palace on his home world. Each attempt failed until the Pluma trees. He could cultivate large forests of the tiny flowering tree which earned him an award, but being humble, he gave credit to Xendara.
