Sara is a highly skilled author and fiction editor who possesses a deep passion for science fiction and fantasy. After attending UC Santa Cruz, she worked as an officer manager before taking the plunge to write and publish her first book. It wasn’t long before she caught the grammar bug that led her to seek additional training through Emerson College, where she received her copy editing certificate.
Among her educational accomplishments, she completed several developmental editing courses through the Editor Freelance Association and is a proud member of the organization. She continues to hone her craft by reading books, writing novels, taking classes, and editing works of fiction.
When she isn’t exploring fantasy worlds, you can find her cooking delicious gluten-free confections or cuddling with her husband or her dog.

Offer
Developmental Editing
Developmental editing is a comprehensive process that includes plot, character, pacing, structure, and style. This service is comprehensive and includes a full story editorial letter with in text comments to take your story to the next level.
My rate charge for this service is $50.00 per hour or 3.0¢ per word depending on the condition of the manuscript.
Copyediting
Copy editing services include correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax, as well as improving sentence structure and clarity. However, it does not include rewriting or restructuring the entire manuscript.
My rates are 2.0¢ per word or $40.00 per hour depending on the condition of the manuscript.
Formatting
Formatting your fiction book is crucial to ensure that it looks professional and is easy read.
I offer formatting services for both eBook and print versions of your book at a rate of $150.
Please note that I do will not format picture books or books that are mostly graphics.
Beta Reading
Beta reading services are designed to provide feedback on a manuscript's plot, pacing, and character development. This service does not include editing or proofreading, but rather focuses on providing an overall critique of the work. I provide detailed feedback on plot, pacing, and character development, and suggestions for improvement.
My rates for beta reading start at $20 for short stories and $100 for full-length 100k word manuscripts.
Proofreading
Proofreading is the process of reviewing a written work to identify and correct errors grammar, spelling, punctuation, and. Authors may need this service when they to ensure that their work is free of errors and ready for publication.
My rates for proofreading services are 1¢ per word or $30.00 per hour, depending on the of the manuscript.
